GDS Global Secures Defense, Safety Contracts in Philippines, Malaysia; Shares Up 3%

-- GDS Global (SGX:5VP) secured contract sales of storm shutters and blast-mitigating shutters in the Philippines and Malaysia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the industrial and commercial shutter doors manufacturer and provider were up over 3% in Thursday trading.

The contract includes the sale of storm shutters to the Philippines which are designed to withstand severe storms.

Meanwhile, the company also secured sales of its blast mitigating shutters that are designed and developed to prevent component failure during blast events.

Sarine Technologies Buys Back Shares

Sarine Technologies (SGX:U77) bought back 10,000 shares in the open market on Tuesday for SG$2,035 or SG$0.2 apiece, a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange said.The chemicals company can repurchase 17.1 million shares under its new buyback mandate. To date, it has bought back 1.2 million shares.

Nuix (ASX:NXL) shares advanced nearly 12% in recent Friday trade after Australia's Federal Court on Thursday dismissed the Australian Securities and Investments Commission's (ASIC) disclosure obligations case against the company.The court dismissed the regulator's claim that Nuix made misleading or deceptive financial guidance disclosures to the market in 2021.The court ruled that the company had reasonable grounds to issue the guidance in question, and ordered the ASIC to cover Nuix's legal costs.
