Gateway Mining (ASX:GML) said follow-up step-out drilling at the Cowza discovery at its Yandal gold project in Western Australia returned consistent high-grade gold intercepts across each drill line, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
This included intercepts of 27 meters at 1.4 grams per tonne grade of gold from 84 meters to bottom-of-hole, as well as 8 meters at 2.2 g/t grade of gold from 76 meters. The results extend gold mineralization to around 2.5 kilometers of strike.
A second reverse circulation drill rig will arrive on site in the coming weekend, and it will immediately begin drilling at Cowza.
The firm's shares rose 1% in recent trading on Tuesday.
