Gateway Mining (ASX:GML) said aircore drilling at the Great Western prospect at the Yandal gold project in Western Australia confirmed a large-scale gold-silver system, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to one meter at 89 grams per tonne silver from 33 meters to the bottom of the hole, and one meter at 78 grams per tonne silver from 11 meters to the bottom of the hole.
The company said the aircore drilling has scratched the surface of a broad hydrothermal system, with a reverse circulation (RC) rig mobilizing later in the week and a second RC rig to be added early next quarter to test the dolerite contact and vertically beneath the silver anomalism, it added.
The company's shares rose 9% in recent Tuesday trade.
