Galaxy Digital, Sky Protocol Partner in Lending, Capital Markets

Galaxy Digital (GLXY) and Sky Protocol said Wednesday they are collaborating across lending and capital markets, deepening Galaxy's use of Sky Protocol's savings token.

As part of the partnership, Galaxy has added $100 million of sUSDS, the native savings token accessible through Sky Protocol, to its corporate treasury, the companies said.

Galaxy also approved sUSDS as eligible collateral across its institutional trading business, which carries a $1.4 billion average loan book, according to the statement.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
