Fwusow Industry (TPE:1219) said it has not received an indictment from the Taichung District Prosecutors Office, following media reports that prosecutors had indicted the company and 13 executives over alleged food safety violations.
The clarification came after reports from Mirror Media and Sanlih E-Television News, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
The case involves excessive levels of benzo[a]pyrene, a Group 1 carcinogen, reportedly detected in soybean oil raw materials supplied by Chung Lien Oil, the reports said.
Fwusow said details of the case should be based on official judicial documents and that it will respond after receiving the relevant documents.
