Fujitsu, GA-ASI Sign MoU for MQ-9B Maintenance Support in Japan

Fujitsu (TYO:6702) signed a memorandum of understanding with US-based unmanned aerial systems maker General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, securing maintenance and support capabilities for unmanned aircraft systems in Japan, according to a Friday release.

The deal will focus on supporting the MQ-9B, an unmanned aircraft developed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, apart from exploring future partnerships on other technologies.

The partnership will also examine a framework for domestic maintenance and operational support while evaluating technologies and business opportunities related to design, manufacturing, and testing capabilities in Japan.

SBI Holdings (TYO:8473) plans to purchase a 20% stake in Indonesia-based online brokerage Ajaib Group for $270 million by the end of August, making the latter an equity-method affiliate, Nikkei Asia reported Friday.Ajaib offers online brokerage, foreign-exchange margin trading, cryptocurrency and asset management services.
