Fubon Financial (TPE:2881) unit Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank disposed of syndicated loan assets worth $14.3 million on Wednesday, according to a same-day Taiwan Exchange filing.
Shares gained about 2% in Thursday's afternoon trade.
The loans were sold to BDO Unibank and Bank of China (Malaysia), both of which are unrelated parties.
The lender said the disposal was part of its loan portfolio management strategy.
