Frontier Energy (ASX:FHE) started mobilization works at its Waroona renewable energy project in Western Australia, marking a transition to the stage one construction phase, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Stage one of the project comprises a 132-megawatt solar facility paired with an 81.5-megawatt / 6.9-hour battery energy storage system, per the filing.
The mobilization program includes the establishment of the construction laydown area, installation of construction facilities, site preparation, clearing, and drainage works.
This will be followed by the start of major construction activities, including earthworks for internal access tracks in October before the first trackers and solar panels are installed in February 2027, the company said.
