Frontier Energy (ASX:FHE) appointed Monford Group as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the solar-battery hybrid facility at stage one of the Waroona Renewable Energy Project in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
Monford agreed to reduce the cash consideration payable under the fixed-price contract by AU$5 million in exchange for an option to acquire 25 million Frontier ordinary shares, per the filing.
Frontier said Monford started design and preparation works for mobilization under an interim agreement and is scheduled to mobilize to the site in September. The scope of work extends through the commissioning and delivery of a fully operating solar battery energy storage system facility by the second half of 2028.
