Fortis to Provide Loan for SLJ Society's Proposed Hospital in New Delhi

Fortis Healthcare (BOM:532843, NSE:FORTIS) will provide a loan in phases for the construction of a more than 400-bed super-specialty hospital in New Delhi under an agreement with Seth Sunder Lal Jain Charitable Eye Hospital (SLJ Society), according to a Wednesday bourse filing.

The company said SLJ will procure land, oversee construction, and manage operations of the proposed hospital, which will specialize in fields such as oncology, neurosciences, and cardiac sciences, among other things.

Fortis said it will also provide healthcare services once the hospital is completed. Operations are expected to begin in three to four years.
