Formosa Plastics' (TPE:1301) consolidated sales rose 6.8% year on year in August to nearly NT$14 billion, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Monthly, the figure was down 8.5% from July, the filing said.
The company said the annual increase was driven by higher petrochemical selling prices following the US-Iran conflict, which has pushed up the price of crude oil, naphtha, ethylene and propylene.
