Food & Life Companies (TYO:3563) posted a 47% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 26.6 billion yen for the nine months ended June 30 from 18.1 billion yen.
The Japan-based food and beverage company's earnings per share increased to 115.68 yen from 78.86 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Revenues jumped 25% to 390.4 billion yen from 313.2 billion yen in the year-ago period.
In a separate filing, the company raised its forecast for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, with an attributable income of 31.5 billion yen, a basic EPS of 138.73 yen, and revenue of 505 billion yen as consolidated profits at all levels exceeded the company's expectations.
The company plans to pay a year-end dividend of 20 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
