FMC (FMC) and biotechnology firm AgroSpheres said Thursday that two proprietary RNA-based biomolecule candidates from AgroSpheres' pipeline are entering global field trial development in the US, Brazil, and Asia.
The candidates represent a new category of bioinsecticide and are targeted to deal with some of the most persistent and economically damaging lepidopteran pests in global agriculture, such as the fall armyworm and diamondback moth, according to a statement.
The candidates were developed under the collaboration of the two companies, they said.
