Fitch Rates Indonesia Infrastructure Finance's Medium-Term Note Program AAA(idn)

By

Fitch Ratings Indonesia has assigned an AAA(idn) rating to Indonesia Infrastructure Finance's 6 trillion rupiah medium-term note program and the proposed first tranche of the issuance under the program, according to a recent release.

The rating is the highest one assigned by Fitch in its national rating scale for Indonesia, covering issuers or obligations with the lowest expectation of default risk.

The rating of the program and the proposed issuance is in line with the issuer's national long-term rating, as they serve as its direct, unsubordinated, and senior unsecured obligations.

Fitch maps the nonbank financial policy institution's national rating from its BBB long-term local currency issuer default rating, reflecting a "virtually certain" possibility of extraordinary government support.
