Firy (FIRY) said Tuesday a U.S. District Court will enter a $719 million judgment requiring Papaya Gaming to disgorge unjust profits to its Skillz Platform subsidiary over a false-advertising lawsuit.
The ruling increases the company's recovery by nearly $300 million from the April jury award, with the court also awarding about $10 million in attorney's fees and certain litigation costs, the company said.
The company said it intends to pursue full collection of the judgment, though the timing and amount of any recovery may be affected by potential appeals or further proceedings.
Firy shares were up 39% in premarket trading.
