First Resources (SGX:EB5) attributable profit to owners jumped 57% during the first half of the year to $234.9 million from $149.2 million a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Earnings per share came in at $0.1517 compared with $0.0963 in the year-ago period.
Net sales surged 45% year over year to $973.6 million from $673.9 million.
The palm oil producer declared an interim dividend of SG$0.08 per share for the period, payable Sept. 10. It had declared an interim dividend of SG$0.045 per share in the prior period.
Shares of First Resources were up nearly 5% in Friday trading.
