Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) said Thursday it launched an embedded banking platform allowing US banks to integrate accounts and payment services directly into business software.
The system keeps accounts on the bank's own balance sheet rather than virtual third-party ledgers to maintain regulatory control, the company said.
Initial pilot partners include Cogent Bank, Commercial Bank of California, and M&T Bank, and the company plans to roll out integrated accounts and payment features during Q4, FIS said.
