Far East Consortium Subsidiary to Sell Three UK Properties For GBP59.5 Million

Far East Consortium International's (HKG:0035) indirect wholly-owned subsidiary CEL agreed to sell an office, a hotel, and a town hall property in the UK to New York- and Singapore-listed AMTD IDEA Group (SGX:HKB), according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The total consideration for the transactions was revised to about 59.5 million pounds sterling from 65.2 million pounds sterling.

The office property is valued at about 12.3 million pounds sterling, while the consideration for the Town Hall and Hotel transactions remains unchanged at 24.5 million pounds sterling and 22.7 million pounds sterling, respectively, which includes repayment of the hotel loan.

CEL has guaranteed a 5% to 6% profit to AMTD IDEA Group on the hotel business for two years following the deed of variation signing.
