EyePoint Pharmaceuticals (EYPT) has agreed to pay about $4.66 million to settle allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by providing kickbacks to encourage ambulatory service centers to buy and dispense the Dexycu injectable drug from January 2019 to March 1, 2023, the US Department of Justice said Friday.
As part of the settlement, EyePoint entered into a five-year corporate integrity agreement, agreed to pay an additional $21,518.68 to certain participating states, and resolved whistleblower claims, with the relator set to receive about $792,000, according to a statement.
EyePoint Pharmaceuticals shares were up 4.2% in Friday trading.
