Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) seeks to establish the Bert orebody as an independent mill feed ore source at the Ernest Henry operations in Queensland, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Bert is projected to add around 6,000 tonnes per year of copper and around 12,000 ounces per year of gold to mill capacity at the operations. First ore is expected from the Bert project in fiscal 2029.
It is studying near-term options to unlock value while maintaining optionality on the way to creating a tier one operation at the Cowal mine in New South Wales.
An integrated open pit and cave production strategy at the Northparkes copper project, also in New South Wales, de-risks delivery while maximizing asset value.
An expansion study at the copper project includes pre-feasibility studies on the MJH block cave as well as E44, Major Tom, and E51 open pits. It also includes concept studies on three block caves, E48L2, E26L3,and GRP. The studies are due for completion in fiscal 2027.
The company's shares fell almost 4% in recent Tuesday trade.
