Eversource Energy (ES) reported Q2 earnings Thursday, highlighting its long-term infrastructure growth strategy after completing the sale of Aquarion Water and reaffirming its outlook.
The company plans to invest $26.5 billion between 2026 and 2030 across electric transmission, electric distribution, natural gas distribution, and information technology and facilities.
Eversource also secured preliminary selection, alongside Avangrid, for an ISO New England transmission project with an estimated cost of $2.2 billion. The proposal targets service by the end of 2032 and carries an estimated 2.2x benefit-to-cost ratio, according to the company.
The company completed the $1.7 billion sale of Aquarion Water on June 30, strengthening its balance sheet and sharpening its focus on regulated electric and natural gas delivery.
Eversource highlighted the commercial operation date of Revolution Wind, a project it previously co-owned with Orsted before selling its stake to Global Infrastructure Partners in 2024, as an upcoming milestone. COD is expected by year-end.
Eversource retains certain construction-related cost obligations tied to the project's completion.
