The European Commission approved the planned creation of a joint venture between Germany's Messer and Ambrian Energy.
The regulator said Wednesday that the deal, which mainly covers the intermediate storage of carbon dioxide, would not create competition concerns as the venture has negligible activities in the European Economic Area.
