Equinor (EQNR.OL) signed a three-year deal to supply Polish energy group Orlen (PKN.WA) with crude oil from the Johan Sverdrup oil field on the Norwegian continental shelf.
The deal will commence in September and covers the supply of 5 million tonnes to 9 million tonnes of crude oil annually to Orlen's refineries in Poland, Lithuania and the Czech Republic, the Norwegian energy company said Thursday.
Equinor noted that the deal could potentially allow the supply of crude grades from other fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
