Energy company Equinor (EQNR.OL) and its partners agreed on a development concept for the Ringvei Vest subsea development project, which will combine multiple North Sea discoveries.
The resources are spread across eight licenses, including the Grosbeak, Swisher, Mulder, Kveikje, Toppand, Røver Sør, and Røver Nord discoveries, and the Grønngylt prospect, according to a Thursday release.
Ringvei Vest, which is linked to the Troll B platform in the Norwegian North Sea, is expected to contribute 240 million barrels of oil equivalent.
The decision to advance the project is expected by year-end, but no timeline has been set for the final investment decision, submission of the development and operation plan, and production start-up.
