-- Equinor (EQNR.OL) renewed major supplier contracts totaling 17 billion Norwegian kroner to support continued production on the Norwegian continental shelf.
The agreements, awarded through corporate framework arrangements, cover drilling and well services as well as specialist services, the energy company said Monday.
Baker Hughes Norge, Halliburton, and SLB Norge were awarded contracts for drilling and well services. These companies, along with 15 additional suppliers, also secured contracts for specialist services.
The renewals form part of Equinor's strategy to sustain production at 1.2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day through 2035, with new wells expected to contribute about 70% of output by that time.
