EQ Resources (ASX:EQR) said water transfer activities began at its Barruecopardo tungsten operation in Spain, as it seeks to re-establish access to ore in phase five of the lower pit, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The water transfer is expected to support continued ore delivery to the processing plant from the lower pit once it is complete. Around 84,968 cubic meters of water remains held in the pit, of which around 68,968 cubic meters is required to be transferred to re-establish access to phase five.
Pumping has commenced from the lower pit to the newly constructed Northern In-Pit sump.
Its shares jumped 7% in recent trading on Wednesday.
