Eos Energy to Begin Consolidating Battery Manufacturing at Thorn Hill Facility in Q4

By

Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSE) said Thursday that it will consolidate its battery manufacturing operations at its Thorn Hill, Pennsylvania, facility, with the move expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The company's Turtle Creek facility will remain operational, with Cube assembly, testing, and shipping continuing at the site, according to the company.

Battery manufacturing operations currently housed in Turtle Creek's Building 700 will relocate to Thorn Hill, while Building 200 will remain operational.

The consolidation aims to shorten material flow, improve production processes, and reduce conversion costs by about 10% to 15%, with benefits beginning in 2027, the company said.

Eos Energy Enterprises further said that about 250 employees impacted by the move will be provided with an employment opportunity or work-location assignment at Thorn Hill, Turtle Creek's Building 200, or the company's corporate offices.

Additionally, the costs associated with the transition have been contemplated in the company's current full-year 2026 revenue guidance of $300 million to $350 million, Eos Energy Enterprises said.

The move is expected to be completed in early 2027, subject to customary lender approvals.

Shares of the company were up 5.7% in early Thursday trading.
