Envision Energy said Monday that it will supply a 400-megawatt/1,600-megawatt-hour battery energy storage project in Germany through a partnership with Elements Green.
The companies unveiled the Stadorf battery energy storage system project at Intersolar Europe in Munich. Located in northern Germany, the development expands Envision's Future Energy System deployment in the country while supporting Elements Green's growing European pipeline.
Envision will build the project around its Gen 8 battery energy storage platform, combining four-hour storage duration with advanced battery technology and artificial intelligence-powered grid integration capabilities, the company said.
Envision said the project will address complex engineering, grid integration, and regulatory requirements for large-scale energy storage.
The system will meet Germany's standards for quality, reliability, and technical performance while strengthening grid-scale energy storage infrastructure. The companies said the project will support a more flexible, resilient and lower-carbon power system across Germany and Europe.
"By combining Elements Green's strong local presence with Envision's advanced Gen 8 BESS platform, AI-powered Future Energy System and proven global delivery experience, we have been able to address the complex engineering, regulatory and grid integration challenges that define large-scale storage projects in Germany," said Henry Peng, senior vice president at Envision Energy.
