Environmental Clean Technologies Says Acquisition Target Unit Secures Sublicense for MXenes for Defense End-Use

By

Environmental Clean Technologies (ASX:ECT) said a wholly-owned unit of its acquisition target Xenica secured a sublicense with MXene Inc., allowing the unit to produce, use, or sell two-dimensional advanced materials, MXenes, for military applications and defense-related end-use, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The acquisition is expected to complete on or around Oct. 22.

Xenica holds an exclusive license from Rice University to use flash joule heating to produce MXenes and two-dimensional amorphous carbon.
