Entegris (ENTG) said Tuesday that courts and intellectual property authorities in Taiwan and China upheld patents covering its colloidal silica slurry technology used in chemical mechanical planarization applications.
The Taiwan Intellectual Property and Commercial Court and China's National Intellectual Property Administration rejected patent challenges by Qnity affiliates on July 14 and Aug. 10, respectively.
Entegris said the rulings strengthen its global patent portfolio and follow a 2021 US ITC finding that Qnity's Optiplane CMP slurries infringed an Entegris patent.
Entegris shares were down over 4% in premarket activity Tuesday.
