EnQuest (ENQ.L) said Wednesday that all conditions for completing its planned acquisition of stakes in four Malaysian production sharing contracts have been met and it expects to close the deal by Dec. 31.
The closing conditions included approval by the British energy company's shareholders and Petronas issuing its farm-out approval. Existing partners had already waived their pre-emption rights relating to the contracts.
EnQuest also plans to seek readmission of its entire issued share capital to the equity shares category of the London stock exchange's main market, with readmission expected on or around Jan. 4, 2027.
