Eni (ENI.MI) commenced hydrocarbon production through the Sabratha compression project offshore Libya.
The development is meant to sustain and increase gas output from the Bahr Essalam gas field, the Italian energy company said Monday.
Eni is partnered with the Libyan National Oil Corp. on the development through the Mellitah Oil & Gas joint venture.
