Energy Vault (NRGV) said Friday it signed a commercial agreement to deploy 1.25 gigawatts of integrated power infrastructure for hyperscaler AI data centers, with the initial deployment backed by a customer contract in Texas.
The deployment will combine Energy Vault's battery energy storage systems, grid-forming power conversion systems and artificial AI control software with a partner's turnkey power generation and engineering, procurement and construction capabilities to provide grid-independent power for AI data centers.
Energy Vault said the project is expected to generate about $500 million to $600 million of revenue in the second half of 2026 and 2027.
Initial deployments are expected within the next four to 12 months, according to the company.
Shares of Energy Vault were up more than 13% in Friday trading.
