Energy Vault Holdings (NRGV) has signed a strategic agreement to supply 1.25 gigawatts of integrated power infrastructure for hyperscaler artificial-intelligence data centers in Texas, it said on Friday in a statement which did not name the counterparty.
The company expects the agreement, which was its single-largest contract to date, to contribute between $500 million and $600 million in incremental revenue from H2 2026 and into 2027, according to its press release on Friday.
Energy Vault will provide battery energy storage systems, grid-forming power conversion systems and AI infrastructure control software.
An unnamed national power-generation EPC contractor will provide turnkey generation infrastructure using Caterpillar gensets.
The companies plan to build integrated off-grid power systems that can bring AI computing capacity online without waiting for traditional utility grid connections, with initial deployments expected over the next four to twelve months.
The company said that its modular architecture could later incorporate utility power, renewable generation and other distributed-energy resources as the data-center campuses expand.
