Emerson Collaborates With SiMa.ai to Support Machine Learning Capabilities for Data Analysis

Emerson (EMR) said Tuesday it has entered into a partnership with SiMa.ai to integrate machine learning capabilities for real-time data analysis into industrial computing platforms operating in harsh factory environments.

The collaboration deploys processing systems on chips to manage automated workloads directly at the edge without needing cloud connectivity, the company said.

The technology allows operators to automate safety monitoring, optimize inline production quality, and minimize capital expenditures through predictive maintenance, it added.

Shares of the company were up 1.6% in Tuesday trading.
