Elan Microelectronics Loses First-Instance Ruling in Patent Suit Against ILITEK

Elan Microelectronics (TPE:2458) said the Intellectual Property and Commercial Court dismissed its patent infringement claims against ILITEK Technology and distributor NeoView Technology in a first-instance judgment.

The touch and fingerprint sensor chip maker had sued ILITEK in December 2025, alleging that its chips infringed the company's Taiwan invention patents, according to a Tuesday filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

The company said the ruling has no liability for damages or material impact on its financial position or operations.
