EDF Group affiliate EDF Power Solutions North America has reached financial close on the 394-megawatt-dc/300 megawatt-ac Utah Solar 1 energy project in Millard County, it said on Thursday.
The project is expected to move to construction, with electricity delivery scheduled start in mid-2027, the company said in a statement.
The facility has an existing 30-year power purchase agreement executed with the Southern California Public Power Authority and its estimated 766,000 megawatt-hours of annual generation will serve customers of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the statement said.
The project's financing has been secured through credit facilities from Credit Agricole CIB, MUFG Bank, National Bank of Canada, Societe Generale, and Standard Chartered Bank. A tax credit bridge facility with Credit Agricole CIB as the only buyer of the project's production tax credits is also included.
