Edesa Biotech (EDSA) said Friday that new data showed that paridiprubart combined with standard of care treatments was associated with a 32% relative reduction in mortality in patients with acute kidney injury and respiratory distress at 28 days.
The company said new analysis of a combined cohort of 101 severely ill patients with acute kidney injury and respiratory distress also showed a 23% relative reduction in major adverse kidney events at 30 days.
The company said paridiprubart was well tolerated in the acute kidney injury cohort, with low overall rates of adverse events, serious adverse events, and infections.
Edesa said the findings are based on exploratory evaluations but support further evaluation in acute kidney injury patients.
Shares of Edesa Biotech were down more than 7% in Friday trading.
