Eclipse Metals Confirms Neodymium, Praseodymium Hosted in Specific Mineral Groups at Greenland Project; Shares Down 7%

By

Eclipse Metals (ASX:EPM) confirmed that neodymium and praseodymium are mainly hosted in identified rare earth element-bearing mineral groups at the Ivigtût project in Greenland, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Quantitative automated mineralogical analysis completed by ALS Metallurgy on four composite samples from the project showed that almost 88% to 94% of contained neodymium and praseodymium is hosted in specific mineral groups and not diffusely spread through the surrounding waste rock, the filing said.

Additionally, between 77% and nearly 93% of neodymium and praseodymium is hosted in the two principal rare earth element mineral groups to be evaluated in flotation test work, per the filing.

Shares fell nearly 7% in midday trade Thursday.
