E.ON, one of Europe's largest energy companies, plans to spend 40 billion euros ($46.79 billion) on core energy networks business from 2026 through 2030, out of a total capital expenditure of 48 billion euros, it said Wednesday.
The company reported Q1 growth in its energy infrastructure segment, while performance across its other businesses remained largely flat year over year.
The energy networks business reported 2.09 billion euros in adjusted EBITDA, compared to 2.10 billion euros in the prior year. The retail segment posted 942 million euros, up 1% compared with 933 million euros last year.
Energy Infrastructure Solutions reported an adjusted EBITDA of 237 million euros, up 16% year-over-year, compared to 204 million euros.
