-- DTE Energy (DTE) on Thursday reported increased first-quarter earnings across both its electric and gas segments in Q1 2026.
The company said its electric segment posted earnings of $281 million for the first quarter of 2026, up from $123 million in the same period last year.
Earnings from the gas segment also rose modestly, totaling $210 million in the quarter, compared with $206 million a year earlier.

Tech stocks rose late Thursday afternoon with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) gaining 0.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) advancing 4.1%.The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 2%.In corporate news, Qualcomm's (QCOM) shares jumped 15% a day after the company posted better-than-expected fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.
