DTE Energy (DTE) reported Q2 electric earnings Tuesday of $270 million, down from $318 million in the same period last year.
The company's gas segment posted a loss of $4 million, compared with earnings of $6 million during Q2 2025.
During H1, DTE directed over $900 million toward electric reliability improvements, deploying smart grid technologies that successfully avoided more than 49,000 customer outages.
Additionally, the company highlighted a $1.6 billion battery storage investment program in partnership with LG Energy Solution Vertech.
The initiative encompasses eight projects designed to add about 1.5 gigawatts of storage capacity, reinforcing long-term grid stability and driving regional economic growth across Michigan.
