DPM Metals (ASX:DPM) said drilling extended the mineralization at its Dumitru Potok copper-gold-silver prospect in Serbia and returned "encouraging results" 300 meters to the north of the mineral resource, suggesting more expansion potential at shallow levels, according to a late Tuesday statement.
Select intercepts reported by the company include 246 meters grading 1.4% copper equivalent, comprising 0.7% copper, 0.69 grams per tonne grade of gold, and 4.21 g/t silver from 1,377 meters downhole, as well as 84 meters grading 2.1% copper equivalent, comprising 0.7% copper, 1.37 g/t gold, and 4.88 g/t silver from 1,085 meters downhole.
The results "indicate mineralized tonnage may be greater than previously modeled," the company said.
DPM Metals is expanding its 2026 drilling program by 12,000 to 15,000 meters to increase planned drilling for the year to about 32,000 to 35,000 meters.
It said an updated Dumitru Potok mineral resource estimate is expected to be complete by the end of the first quarter of 2027, ahead of a preliminary economic assessment targeted by the end of next year.
