DOF Group (DOFG.OL) said Thursday it sold four platform supply vessels and acquired two construction support vessels.
The vessels sold are Skandi Mongstad, Skandi Flora, Skandi Feistein and Skandi Kvitsøy. The offshore and subsea services company will retain management responsibilities of the vessels and a minority ownership interest in the acquiring entity. Net proceeds from the sale are estimated at $50 million.
Further, the company agreed to purchase two under-development construction support vessels. The vessels are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2027 and the first quarter of 2028. DOF Group plans to use a mix of cash from vessel sales and debt financing to fund the acquisition.
DOF Group also declared a constructive total loss on the anchor handling tug supply vessel Skandi Amazonas, which was grounded outside of Macaé, Brazil, in May due to an incident that damaged the hull. The total loss resulted in a hull and machinery insurance payout of $115 million.
