DNO (DNO.OL) clarified on Friday that it is not planning to submit a takeover proposal for London-listed peer Genel Energy (GENL.L).
The Norwegian oil and gas operator made the statement following its Aug. 7 announcement regarding a possible offer to acquire Genel.

Williams Companies (WMB) said Thursday it completed its acquisition of Momentum Midstream in a transaction valued at about $5.5 billion.The transaction includes $3.5 billion of cash and debt consideration and about $2 billion of the company's equity, according to a statement.The company said the acquisition expands its natural gas infrastructure platform in the Haynesville to serve rising Gulf Coast LNG, power and industrial demand.
Weatherford International (WFRD) shareholders approved all proposals required for the company's redomestication from Ireland to Delaware, the company said Thursday.Weatherford expects the transaction to generate about $20 million to $30 million in annual cash savings beginning in 2027 and improve adjusted free cash flow conversion.The redomestication remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the final approval by the Irish High Court.The company expects the transaction to become effective during Q4 2026, subject to those conditions.
