DL E&C (KRX:375500) was selected as the preferred bidder for the Asan combined heat and power (CHP) plant construction project, via a consortium led by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KRX:015760) subsidiary Korea Western Power, according to a Thursday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The project involves the construction of a 500-megawatt-class CHP plant, with the firm's 85% share of the construction cost, excluding the value added tax, being valued at 245.4 billion won, it said.
Shares of Korea Electric Power fell nearly 7% at market close.
