Orient Securities (HKG:3958) or DFZQ posted net profit attributable to shareholders of 4.52 billion yuan for the first half, up 30% from 3.46 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Earnings per share came in at 0.53 yuan from 0.40 yuan.
Total operating revenue increased 19% to 9.56 billion yuan from 8 billion yuan.
The company attributed the stronger results to higher revenue from its wealth and asset management, investment banking, alternative investment, and institutional and sales trading businesses.
