Descartes Systems' Q2 Print May Slightly Exceed Expectations on Healthy Organic Growth, Margins, RBC Says

By

Descartes Systems' (DSGX) Q2 print may slightly exceed expectations aided by healthy organic growth and margins, RBC Capital Markets said in a Friday research note.

The technology company's quarterly revenue may exceed RBC estimate of $200 million and consensus of $199 million, while adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization may exceed RBC and consensus estimate of $92 million, according to the note.

Descartes Systems is scheduled to report its Q2 earnings on Sept. 10.

RBC further forecasted Q2 constant currency organic growth of 9%, driven by upselling, market share gains, e-commerce momentum, as well as increased adoption of customs filing solutions. Descartes Systems' new AI offerings are slated to be a tailwind for organic growth over the medium-term, RBC said.

Looking ahead, RBC said Q3 is likely tracking to $216 million in revenue and $99 million in adjusted EBITDA, above consensus of $206 million and $96 million, respectively, on account of continued organic growth and $11 million revenue contribution from recent acquisitions.

RBC maintained its outperform rating and a $126 price target on the company's stock.
