DeepSeek said it will hire 150 senior backend engineers in an "unprecedented" spree to overhaul its systems amid surging user demand, according to a Monday post by technical staff member Cui Tianyi on X.
The company is recruiting server development engineers to support large‑model research platforms and agent framework components.
"Once anything in the computer field scales up in quantity, it leads to a massive increase in complexity," Cui said on the social media platform.
The increase in user demand renders previous backend systems unable to meet DeepSeek's needs, Cui said.
