Dave & Buster's Names CFO Darin Harper as CEO

Dave & Buster's Entertainment (PLAY) said Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Darin Harper succeeded Tarun Lal as chief executive officer, effective Aug. 3.

Lal retired to spend more time with his family and will continue to serve as an advisor to the company through at least the end of fiscal 2027.

Cory Hatton, the company's head of entertainment finance, investor relations and treasurer, will serve as interim chief financial officer while the company searches for a permanent CFO, Dave & Buster's said.

Shares of the company were down more than 7% in Tuesday trading.
